Overview:
The course is an adaption from Teachers’ Training Course first developed in-house by Little Bodhi Student Care in 2002. The course put together with the help of lecturers from National Institute of Education (NTU-NIE), professional educators, school teachers and psychologists working in the field of education.
The 2 lessons adapted are as follows:
Lesson 1: Managing The Class
The lesson covers the techniques of preventive and supportive management. In preventive management, participants will learn how to manage the class efficiently to prevent disruption. Supportive management covers the ways to build rapport with the students so that the teacher can teach effectively.
Lesson 2: Managing The Child
In this lesson, participants will first learn the theories and application of behavioral models (eg. Classical & Operant Conditioning). Participants will also learn the use of reinforcement to achieve desirable behavior and be guided on the managing of students’ misbehavior.
